3 Day Kakadu Arnhem Land & Litchfield Tour

It is always exciting to have a choice and this tour is a great 3 day tour that will take you not only to Kakadu and Arnhem Land but to Litchfield National Park as well.  You can choose to camp or for those of you who prefer a bit more comfort you can upgrade to accommodated.   This tour only requires a moderate level of fitness and therefore is suitable for all ages over the age of 5.

First stop is Litchfield National Park where you can experience the beautiful water holes and waterfalls that make Litchfield one of the top destinations in the Top End of the Northern Territory.  After Litchfield get ready for some off road adventure as we make our way along the Marrakai Track which joins up to the Old Jim Jim Road that will takes us deep into the heart of Kakadu.  Once in Kakadu we spend the night our Cooinda Lodge Campground.

Up with the birds we join a Yellow Water Cruise, then it’s onto Nourlangie Rock Art Site where we step back in time and view the ancient rock art site and learn the history of this area and its poeple.  We visit the Bowali Information Centre which is also Kakadu National Park Headquarters and and enjoy the audio-visual presentations and browse through the Marrawadi Gallery that showcases aboriginal art from this region. We continue on the Kakadu Highway and head out to the East Alligator River area to experience the beauty of Ubirr where you can climb Nadab Lookout for a panoramic view over the vast floodplains.  Visit the Bowali Information Centre .

After a good nights rest we are up and heading off again, this time we are heading over Cahill’s Crossing and into Arnhem Land to experience the culture and history of this magnificent land.  The Injalak Art Centre is a great place to purchase that special piece of art work or just to have a browse at the authentic art work for sale.  Afterwards we make our way back to Kakadu and return you to your Darwin accommodation.
