30 Min Kakadu Scenic Flight

The 30 Min Kakadu Scenic Flight will fly over The Archway, East Alligator River, Arnhem Land Plateau and the magnificent Magela Wetlands on the spectacular fixed wing Kakadu National Park scenic flight. Ancient escarpments, spectacular 1.8 billion years of continuous erosion, billabongs, flood plains. View the Archway, Arnhem Land Escarpment’s, East Alligator Valley, Mikinj Valley Billabongs and Magela Floodplains.

The Arnhem Plateau, situated in the Northern Territory of Australia, encompasses an area of 2,306,023 hectares (5,698,310 acres). This region is characterized by a raised and heavily dissected sandstone plateau that defines central Arnhem Land in the Top End of the Northern Territory.

The boundary of the Important Bird Area (IBA), covering 22,000 square kilometers (8,500 sq mi), largely corresponds to the extent of vegetation suitable for white-throated grass wrens. The primary habitat for these grass wrens consists of bare rock and spinifex grassland. Additionally, the area features open monsoonal savanna woodland and patches of rainforest, notably dominated by the endemic Allosyncarpia ternata tree.

Note: This Kakadu Scenic Flight operates over the Northern part of Kakadu bordering Arnhem Land.

This flight departs from Jabiru Airport which is only a short drive (approx. 10 mins) from the town of Jabiru.
