Nitmiluk Gorge is approximately a 25klm drive from the centre of Katherine.  Check in for cruises is 15 minutes prior to departure.  There are 2 car parks, 1 right near the cruise departure point but that one fills up fast so you are best to park near the Visitor Centre and walk 15 to 20 minutes to the pontoon.  Arrive early and spend some time exploring the Visitor Centre.

The temperature in June to August can drop significantly at night so it is a good idea to check the weather forecast and be prepared by wearing pants, jacket and closed in shoes.
