Dont forget to get along to Kakadu World Wetlands Day
KAKADU WORLD WETLANDS DAY – Saturday 4th February 2017 (10am – 1pm) at the Bowali Visitor Centre. Come down and learn about your wetland backyard, listen to Ranger talks and check out their Air-boat Display, enjoy the free BBQ and try your luck at some competitions. There will be kids activities and more!
Other Updates:
- Barrk bush walk is now OPEN – The 12km track is still a bit overgrown in parts, please follow track makers and stay to the walking track and adhere all signage. We recommend 4 – 6 litres of water per person and start earlier in the morning. Maps of the area can be collected from Bowali Visitor Centre.
- Buffalo Sightings – there have been buffalo sightings on the Kakadu Highway (southern end of the park) please drive with care.
- Warradjan Cultural Centre Cooinda – is open from 9am til 3pm until the 31st March 2017.
- Magela Creek (road to Ubirr) – is closed. Water level is at 1.3m and expected to rise.
