Ubirr Combo Tour

The Ubirr Combo Tour operates for a short period in wet season late March – April depending on the water levels.

Conditions permitting in 2025 we plan to operate the Ubirr Combo Tour Wednesday to Sunday from early March until & including the Easter weekend.
Bookings cannot be made until the dates are set and this is due to the tour requiring the right water levels to commence.
Dates will be advised closer to the time of tour commencing.

The wet season produces some absolutely magnificent scenery in the Territory’s Top End. This is the time of the year our Wetlands flood. In Kakadu the flooding cuts off the road access to Ubirr Rock, an icon of the World Heritage-listed National Park. Ubirr and the Magela Wetlands are absolutely stunning at this time of the year. The good news is that you can get to see both during a narrow window of opportunity in the peak of the seasonal flooding on this Tour.

On the Ubirr Combo Tour and Magela Wetlands Cruise you experience a cruise through the flooded Magela Creek and floodplain margin and returns to the Ubirr side of the creek where a tour vehicle takes visitors on to Ubirr Rock.  As it is otherwise impossible to travel to the site, you will virtually have exclusive access to the magnificent Ubirr art site. After taking in the intrigue of the rock art, absorbing a little of the traditional indigenous knowledge systems and the spectacle of the flooded plains from the top of the rock it’s back for another crossing of the flooded Magela Creek and back to Jabiru.

Duration approximately 5.5 hours
Cost $180 AUD Adult, $110 AUD child (4-14yrs).

To join the Ubirr Combo Tour all clients must use the shuttle bus from Jabiru.  For your comfort we would recommend you bring a water proof bag for your camera, a hat, loose comfortable clothing and good walking shoes. Thongs are inappropriate for this tour.
